Residential men's retreat · Siem Reap, Cambodia · 2–4 weeks

A weight-loss retreat for men who are done starting over.

Two to four weeks in Siem Reap, Cambodia. One good meal a day, daily strength training, and a structure built to help you lose fat while holding onto your muscle — so you can leave feeling like yourself again.

One meal a day — substantial, structured, no starving Daily strength training & movement Transfers, meals & coaching included Post-retreat check-ins Visa & eSIM support, plus a pre-trip fitness check

This isn't a crash diet

Stop carrying the world. Start living lighter.

One nutritious meal a day, in a relaxed two-hour window, plus daily strength training and enough protein. It's built for high-quality weight loss — designed to help you lose fat while holding onto your muscle, not just chase a smaller number on the scale. A simple structure takes grazing and decision-fatigue off the table, so eating less stops being a daily battle. Individual results vary.

How it works

Four things, done every day

1

Eat well, eat once

One nutritious meal a day in a structured two-hour window. Not about going hungry — about removing the dozens of small food decisions that wear men down.

2

Train daily

Strength work to hold your muscle, plus walks, Khmer boxing and movement built into every day with experienced coaches.

3

Mindset & accountability

Group sessions, coaching and daily structure that make the change stick — alongside other men in the same boat.

4

A place that resets you

Siem Reap, away from the routines and habits that got you here, with massages, hikes and excursions to recover well.

Two, three, four or eight weeks — choose the length that fits your life.

One meal, done properly

It's not about going hungry.

Each day you'll sit down to one genuinely good meal, in a relaxed two-hour window. It's about removing the dozens of small food decisions that wear men down, so the healthy choice becomes the only choice. Men often tell us it's the first time eating less has felt simple.

It was never just about the kilos.

Most of the men who come to us are carrying more than weight — the late nights, the stress, the sense of having let themselves slide. Our founder David knows it firsthand — and what he found on the other side went well beyond the scale.

We can't promise you'll feel the same. But a lot of men leave lighter in more than one way.

Our story

Three men. Three stories. One mission.

AWWW8 was started by three men who met on a weight-loss program in Thailand and knew it could be done better — with more heart, more structure, and more honesty.

Sam N. Husseini, co-founder

Sam N. Husseini

Co-Founder

Born in Perth, raised in the Middle East and educated in the US, Sam is a serial entrepreneur whose ventures span the Middle East and Asia — and a proud father of three. Behind the businesses was a long personal struggle with weight, and the drive to rewrite that story for himself and other men.

Andrew McCullagh, co-founder

Andrew McCullagh

Co-Founder

A Tasmanian entrepreneur whose first venture launched Pringles into Australia in 1989, before Procter & Gamble bought the business back. Today he restores and develops heritage property, and brings the operating discipline that turns a good idea into something that lasts.

David Jones, co-founder

David Jones

Co-Founder

Raised on a remote NT cattle station, David ran his own road construction business for two decades before retiring. After health challenges tied to his weight he fought back, lost 18 kg and turned his life around — the story at the heart of AWWW8. A father of three daughters, and a walker who'll outpace most of the group.

David's 18 kg is his own result. Individual results vary.

In their words

Men who've been through it

"My two weeks in Siem Reap were truly transformative. One nutritious meal a day, daily exercise and genuinely joyful days out — the perfect balance of discipline and enjoyment. I left feeling lighter, stronger and deeply refreshed, and it stays with you long after you get home."

Azzam S.

"I came in wanting to take control of my health and prove to myself that I could do it. Two weeks of structure, training and discipline, and I walked out lighter, fitter and genuinely proud of what I'd done. I feel like a different man."

Adi D.

"The support is second to none — from the airport pick-up to the drop-off, nothing's too much trouble. The walks and gym sessions are tailored to what you can do, the food is high quality, and you eat well inside a relaxed two-hour window each day. I'll be back."

Mark F.

"It's simple, it's effective, and it was the jumpstart I needed. One nutritious meal a day, daily exercise and good people around me. It opened my eyes to what my body is actually capable of."

Jalal S.

These are individual guests' own experiences. Individual results vary. Weight loss requires a healthy, energy-controlled diet and regular physical activity.

Where it happens

Cambodia as a healing place

Nestled in the heart of Southeast Asia, Cambodia offers a rare blend of spiritual depth, natural serenity and ancient wisdom. From the temples of Angkor Wat to quiet riverside paths, Siem Reap invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with yourself.

The city is part of the program — morning walks among sacred ruins, markets and rivers, a climate built for being outdoors, and a culture that treats stillness as a skill.

Is it right for you?

Built for men who are ready — and honest about who it suits.

This program isn't suitable for everyone. Our 60-second quiz checks whether it's a fit, and some guests will need clearance from their GP before joining. We'd rather have that conversation up front.

Take the 60-second quiz →

Please talk to your doctor first if you

  • have diabetes or take regular medication
  • are managing a heart, kidney or other ongoing condition
  • have a history of disordered eating
  • are unsure whether daily training is right for you

We provide a lifestyle program and general information, not medical advice. The quiz helps us flag anyone who should check with their GP before travelling.

60-second fit check

Five honest questions. We'll tell you if this is a fit.

No typing marathon, no sales pitch. Answer straight and one of us calls you personally — dates, pricing, and whether we think it's right for you.

Questions

The things men ask us

Will I actually keep the weight off?
The program is built around habits, not a quick fix — a simple eating structure, daily training and the mindset work to go with it. You leave with a routine you can repeat at home, and we check in with you afterwards. Keeping it off still takes a healthy, energy-controlled diet and regular activity once you're back.
Is one meal a day safe? Isn't that fasting?
Technically, yes — one main meal a day is a form of time-restricted eating, and we're upfront about that. The difference is how it's done: one genuinely good, nutritious meal in a relaxed two-hour window, with enough protein to protect your muscle, daily training and experienced people around you. It isn't right for everyone, which is why the quiz screens for fit and some guests check with their GP first.
I'm not fit. Can I keep up with the training?
Many of the men who come to us haven't trained seriously in years — you won't be the odd one out. Training is scaled to where you're at and builds over your stay. You won't be thrown in the deep end.
What's the deal with Cambodia?
Siem Reap gives you distance from the routines that got you here, a climate built for being outdoors, and a cost base that makes a fully-staffed residential program affordable. We handle airport transfers, accommodation and meals — you just need to get there.
How much time do I need to take off?
Stays run from two to four weeks (with an eight-week option). Two weeks is a powerful reset; four weeks is what we recommend — long enough for the routine to become yours. Many men plan it around leave or a quieter work period.
What do I need to have ready before I book?
Four things: a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates; GP clearance first if the quiz flags it; travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical care and evacuation (a condition of booking); and hold off booking flights until we confirm your intake — or book flexible fares. We confirm your intake in writing once it reaches minimum numbers.
What if I need to cancel or can't travel?
Until your intake is confirmed, your deposit is fully refundable — no fee, no questions. Once the intake is confirmed we've committed the hotel and staffing, so bookings from that point transfer rather than refund: free to a later intake if you ask 30+ days out, or for a rebooking fee closer in. Last-minute issues — illness, flights, work — are what your travel insurance is for, which is why it's a condition of booking. If we ever cancel or move an intake, you get everything back or a free transfer plus a credit, your choice. Nothing here affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What's included in the price?
Everything on the ground — accommodation, your daily meal, all training and boxing, excursions, massages, airport transfers, visa and eSIM support, and post-retreat support. We also arrange a pre-departure fitness check — on us if it's done before you fly, a small fee if you leave it till you land — so you've got a real baseline to measure your results against. You cover your flights. Pricing is transparent and listed above.
